Description: Morveren wistfully dreams of the man she loves, as he sings in the church up on the hill.

The Zennor mermaid is an ancient
Cornish legend of a Mermaid named
Morveren who fell in love with a local
boy, Mathew Trewella, & lured him
away to the sea. There is a 15th Century
carving on a bench end that can still be
seen today inside Zennor church. (see photo)
